Privacy Policy for YAGT

1. Summary

YAGT is a guitar and bass tuner designed with privacy in mind. Microphone audio is processed entirely on your device and is never recorded, transmitted, or stored. YAGT does not require an account, does not connect to the internet, and does not include ads, analytics, or tracking of any kind.

2. Microphone Access

YAGT requests microphone access so it can detect the pitch of your instrument. Audio is analyzed in real time on your device and discarded immediately after processing. No audio is ever recorded, saved, or sent anywhere.

3. Information We Collect

Stored Locally on Your Device:

• App Settings: Your selected tuning, instrument, reference pitch (A4), sensitivity, and other preferences, stored via iOS UserDefaults
• Custom Background Image: If you choose a background photo, it is stored locally in YAGT's app sandbox. The image never leaves your device.

Information We Do NOT Collect:

• Audio recordings or any representation of sound picked up by the microphone
• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Photos (beyond a background image you explicitly pick, which stays on-device)
• Contacts or social media accounts
• Device identifiers or advertising data
• User tracking data across apps or websites
• Analytics or behavioral data

4. Data Storage and Security

• Local Only: All YAGT data is stored on your device in iOS's app sandbox.
• No Servers: YAGT has no backend. There is nowhere for your data to be sent.
• No Internet Required: The app functions fully offline.

5. Third-Party Services

YAGT does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, analytics providers, advertising networks, or crash reporters.

6. No User Tracking

• No Cross-App Tracking: YAGT does not track your activity across other apps or websites.
• No Advertising Tracking: YAGT does not collect advertising identifiers or behavioral data.
• No Analytics: YAGT does not measure how you use the app.
• Privacy by Design: The app is built to function completely without user tracking.

7. Children's Privacy

YAGT is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the app does not collect any personal data from any user, children are protected by the same privacy-by-design approach as everyone else.

8. Your Rights and Choices

• Microphone Access: You can revoke microphone access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy > Microphone > YAGT. YAGT cannot function as a tuner without microphone access.
• Data Deletion: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored settings and background images.
• No Tracking to Opt Out Of: Since we don't track users, there are no tracking preferences to manage.

9. Data Retention

• Settings and background images remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
• No data is retained on any server because no data leaves your device.

10. International Users

YAGT is available globally. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is no transfer of personal information between countries.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
