Tuner won't pick up your string: Make sure microphone access is enabled in iOS Settings > Privacy > Microphone > YAGT. Tap the calibrate button — or press and hold anywhere on the main screen for two seconds — after a few seconds of silence to set the noise floor for your room.
Low strings reading an octave high: Auto-string-detect usually corrects this, but if you've locked a string manually, try returning to auto mode.
Meter jittery on a clean signal: Increase sensitivity with the mic-gate slider, or recalibrate the noise floor in a quieter environment.
Can't find your tuning: YAGT ships with 18 built-in tunings for guitar and bass. Need something else? Open the tuning picker and create your own — name it, set each string's note, and it's saved on your device.
Auto-progress strings: Toggle this in Settings to have the tuner advance to the next string automatically once the current one is in tune.
Silence the pitch commentary: If the on-screen feedback isn't your thing, turn off "Annoying Commentary" in Settings.
Customize the look: Settings > Background lets you load a photo from your library, drag and pinch to position it, adjust opacity, and lock it in place.
Reference pitch: A4 can be set anywhere from 400–480 Hz in settings to match pianos, recordings, or other instruments.
